Arkadelphia- The Hope Piranhas Swim Team traveled to Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia this past Friday for the Independence Day Weekend Invitational. Piranhas Coach Amy Knoll was very pleased with how the team competed this past weekend as they gear up for a Junior Olympic Qualifier event this coming weekend in Texarkana at Texarkana College. The Piranhas won the meet with a combined score (both boys and girls) of 374 points with YR Coast coming in 2nd with 366 points. The Girls team would be the Queens of the pool as they went on to win the meet with a total of 233 points beating 2nd place Crest by 31 points. The Piranhas boys team would do very well and placed 3rd with 141 points. Multiple relay events were won by both the girls and boys teams this past weekend, including the last race of the day which was the Women's 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay which consisted of Zoie Cox, Kylie Revels, Abigail Crow, and Sadie Knoll; which put an exclamation point on the great day competition the Piranhas displayed on Friday.
