On Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at about 11:10am, officers with the Hope Police Department,  Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and 8th North Task Force arrested Darnell Harper, 40 of  Hope, in the 1600 block of Ash Street. Mr. Harper was charged with Aggravated Robbery,  Battery 2nd Degree and Engaging in Violent Criminal Group Activity. Mr. Harper was  transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.
