On Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at about 7:54am, officers with the Hope Police Department  arrested Chazz Thornton, 42 of Hope, in the 1400 block of Tillman Ross Avenue. Mr. Thornton was charged with Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (2 counts) and Carrying a Weapon and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.  

On Friday, January 17th, 2025 at about 7:30pm, officers with the Hope Police Department  arrested Anthony Flowers, 40 of Hope, in the 600 block of North Walker Street. Mr. Flowers  was charged with Leaving the scene of an accident, Driving While Intoxicated, Disorderly  Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Refusal to Submit to Testing and Battery 2nd Degree. Mr. Flowers  was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.
