Hope Public Schools Doctoral Candidate Seeks Community Input
HOPE, AR October 14, 2024 - Joy Higdon, Dean of Students and Counselor at the Hope Academy of Public Service, is a doctoral candidate at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The community is invited to participate in a survey designed to gather information from parents, staff, faculty, and administrators at Hope School District (HSD) regarding its success in increasing enrollment following Arkansas consolidation and school choice legislation. This survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.


Participation in this research study involves completing an anonymous survey about experiences with, and perceptions of, Hope Schools. There are no known risks associated with this research. The benefits of participation include contributing to findings that will inform rural districts in Arkansas ways to attract enrollment following school consolidation.

Responses will be anonymous and confidential. No email data will be collected in this survey, and all demographic information will be reported in aggregate form. Data will be stored securely and accessed only by the researcher.

Participation is entirely voluntary. Participants may choose not to participate or withdraw at any time without penalty.
