Hope Public Schools provides hospitality at Farmers' Market

Hope Public Schools hosted the Hospitality Table at Hope Farmers' Market this morning and shared with participants information about their Book Nooks and reading program. The Book Nooks are located at various businesses around town, as well as community events, and encourage children to read. Market Manager Deanna Gilbert pulled double duty this morning since today she also represented Hope Public Schools (HPS) as their Nutrition Director. Gilbert said she was excited to be representing HPS today, in addition to her weekly duties at Hope Farmers' Market. "I love it!" Gilbert said. "I enjoy the fellowship with our farmers, and I am glad to represent HPS today and share what we are doing in our schools."

The Arkansas Department of Health joined the Market today with a table full of healthy info and pamphlets to share with passing patrons. Also in attendance were Young Sprouts, Wildflowers, Salinas Farms, Carolyn's Kitchen, Two Chicks and a Fox, the Mint Man, Farm on the Hill, Georgina's Fried Pies, Solomon Farms, and Silver Farms with fresh produce and homemade wares.

Hope Farmers' Market takes place every Tuesday morning at the Hub in downtown Hope from 7am to 11am.
