The Hope Rotary Club joined the Hope Farmers' Market this morning to host the Hospitality Table and serve market patrons with refreshments and treats. Rotary Treasurer Clay Lance said the group was delighted to participate in the market today. "We love being a part of the community and serving in any way we can," Lance said. "Rotary Club provides scholarships, donates to multiple organizations, helps park cars at the Watermelon Festival, and much more. So we are thrilled to also be a part of Farmers' Market, as we have the last few years, and support our local farmers and vendors."
South Arkansas Migrant Education representatives attended the market for their first visit today and shared with participants what their organizations has to offer families who perform seasonal and temporary farm work. Qualifying families can receive free educational supplies and services, plus free health supplies and services. Director of South Arkansas Migrant Education Holli Boyett said she and her team members were focusing on getting out in the community and spreading the word about what this organization can provide these families.
Also in attendance at the market today were Arnold Farms, Salinas Farms, Solomon Farms, and Silvey Farms with their fresh produce and other wares. Farm on the Hill had fresh beef, Young Sprouts had flowers and plants, and Cilla's Cookies had homemade baked cookies. Plus, fan-favorite, the Mint Man, had his mint plants and mint-flavored goods.
Hope Farmers' Market takes place at the Hub Tuesday mornings from 7am to 11am.
