Hope Tennis Traveled to Arkansas High on Thursday; Lady Cat Singles Shine Bright
Texarkana,AR- The Lady Cat and Bobcat Tennis squad headed to Texarkana on Thursday afternoon for a match with Arkansas High. Sophomore standout Monica Bobo began her campaign with a dominant 8-0 win over her opponent. Lydia Bobo was excellent as well and was in complete control of her match as she won 8-0. Mycah Bradley also won her first match of the year in blowout fashion 8-0. Jamie Young won 8-0 in yet another dominating game for the Lady Cat squad. Katie Webster won her match 8-3 to total the wins for the Lady Cats in Singles at 5-1. Grace Easterling lost a heartbreaker 8-7 to round out the singles matches. In doubles, the Lady Cats did not fare as well as they hoped, dropping two tough matches, as Lydia Bobo and Katie Webster lost 8-3 and Mycah Bradley and Jamie Young lost 8-4. Look for these two teams to continue to improve and get their chemistry built up.

In the Boys matches, Erick Salazar started his season with a 8-7 win in a tiebreaker game. Davis Johnson had a great outing, as he won a tough match 8-6. Riley Bramlett dropped his season opener 8-1 and Jaden Rivera lost his match 8-1 as well. In doubles, the Bobcats dropped both matches with Erick Salazar and James Artis losing 8-2, while Riley Bramlett and Davis Johnson lost 8-1. Look for this group to continue to grow and build chemistry as well.

The Tennis team is back in action on Monday in DeQueen as they take on the Lady Leopards and Leopards with some big matches on the slate.
