Hornets Beat Kirby Saturday Afternoon, Claim 3-Seed in State Tournament
Emerson- The Hornets got back on track Saturday following a loss to Lafayette Co. on Friday night, as they beat Kirby 71-65. The game was tied in the final two minutes, but a big 3-pointer from Sean Rohan gave Blevins the lead for good. 

Xavier Bazzelle led the way for the Hornets with 26 points. Bazzelle also grabbed 5 rebounds. Rilee Faulkner and Rohan each had 14 points. Faulkner led the Hornets with 8 rebounds. Javi Gomez finished up a big regional tournament with 13 points. Jaxon Hinton added 6 points and both Paul Antley and Jemiyan McMorris scored 2. 

The Hornets are the 3-seed in next weeks state tournament and will play Dermott on Thursday at 5:30.
