The Hornets offense was firing on all cylinders Tuesday night with five players in double figures. Xavier Bazzelle scored 21 points, as he was definitely on Kirby's radar all game, as they tried their best to not let him get going. Rilee Faulkner poured in four 3-pointers and finished the night with 16. Javi Gomez stepped up big time, scoring 11 points, 9 of which came in the 2nd half. Jaxon Hinton played lights out in the 2nd quarter, and really kept Kirby from getting back in it early, scoring 7 points in about a 3-minute span, finishing the night with 10. Sean Rohan continued his streak of great play, as he scored 16 points, 10 of which came in the opening half. Paul Antley finished the game with 4 points and Jamihyan McMorris had 2 points.
After the win, Xavier Bazzelle spoke on the game, "When times got rough we just played harder, big win against a conference rival, can't help but love it, we love this crowd and we don't wanna do nothing to upset them."
Blevins is back on the court Thursday night in Emerson at the Battle of the Border Tournament where they will play Taylor.
