Hornets Take on Marvel-Elaine, Jr. Hornets Win 14-8
Marvel-Elaine- The Hornets had their second game of the young season on Friday night. Following a big win against Trinity Christian last Saturday, the Jr. Hornets showed up and took care of business again as they improve to 2-0 on the year with a 14-8 victory over Marvel-Elaine. Benny Perez played a big factor in this win, as he had 3 sacks, two of which caused fumbles that he recovered. Chase Pittman played a great game up front on both sides of the ball. John Purtle played very well at QB for the Jr. Hornets, as Coach West is real excited how he is running the offense and getting better at taking care of the ball. Wyatt Penny ran for 120 yards and a TD in the Hornets big win. Issac Moreno is another guy that had a great game running the ball, as he fought for 50 yards rushing and found the endzone, and scored on a 2pt conversion as well. Big win for the Jr. Hornets as they will head to Hendrix College next Friday night to take on Southside-Bee Branch. 

The Sr. High team had a tough night, as the rain was pouring down. Marvel-Elaine proved to be a very tough opponent as they dropped the contest 34-0. The Hornets are back in action on Friday night as they travel to Hendrix College to take on Southside-Bee Branch.
