The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, Southwest Research and Extension Center near Hope, AR, has an opening for a Horticulture Program Technician. This position is for a research support professional and coordinates with the SWREC resident director and research project leaders, staff, and students to provide field plot planning, preparation, crop production, data collection, and harvest of horticultural crops at the Center.

Duties will be maintaining facilities including three tunnel houses, chemicals and storage, maintenance of farm equipment and implement research protocols as outlined by research faculty in charge.  In addition, work with other units at SWREC as needed.  This position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture or related area and must be able to obtain a Certified Pesticide Applicators License within 90 days of employment.
