The Plowboys Car Club had another great night of family fun in downtown Hope Saturday night with music, door prizes, a special gift for the kiddos, and, of course, cars! There was even a Lamborghini on the scene! Car enthusiasts didn't let the heat deter them as they strolled up and down the street admiring everything from horsepower to emblems of rare automobiles. While admiring the favorite classics and the newest in vehicle craftsmanship was certainly a huge draw, it wasn’t the only attraction of Cruise Night.
A booth presented by Hope Junior Auxiliary (JA) was available with temporary tattoos for the kiddos. JA members had all the materials ready so the mini show-goers could get their temporary tattoos applied right away. Lindsey Johnson, JA Assistant Treasurer, shared with SWARK.Today why she and fellow JA members happily participated in the night’s events. Johnson said, “The car show always has a pretty good turnout of families and kids having a good time, and since we are here to service the children of this community, we thought this was a good way to help the kids have fun and also put our name out there to let the community know what services we have to offer.” The fun was evident to all as the kids proudly showed their new art to the rest of the Cruise Night patrons.
Hot Rods and tattoos weren't the only charms of the night. Door prizes donated by Auto Zone, McDonalds, El Agaves, and Plowboy club members were given away at the end of the evening. These gifts included gift certificates to local restaurants and an assortment of automobile accessories. Also, families could take a break with a bit of shopping at Vintage Girls Boutique & More or relax with a cool drink and an award-winning burger at Tailgaters.
Cruise Nights aren’t just about the cool cars and auto tech. The Plowboys Car Club gives a night out for the family, free of charge, with a little something to interest everyone. Cruise Nights occur every fourth Saturday (6pm to 8pm) from April to October in downtown Hope outside Tailgaters. Next month’s Cruise Night will be July 24th and the guys from Plowboys will be there with a warm welcome for all and plenty of cars!
