HPD arrest for week of April 6, 2026
On Thursday, April 9th, 2026 at 2:44pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Ruthinia Thomas, 49 of Hope, AR in the 1300 block of East 3rd Street. Ms. Thomas was charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault on a Family Member and Battery 2nd Degree. Ms. Thomas was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility pending a first court appearance.

On Thursday, April 9th, 2026 at 4:35pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested
Jackie Conway, 49 of Hope, AR in the 800 block of North Sherman Street. Mr. Conway was
charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault on a Family Member and Possession of a
Firearm by Certain Person. Mr. Conway was held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility
pending a first court appearance.
