On August 10, 2021 at approximately 11:12am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested John Wesley, 32, of Hope, AR and charged him with aggravated assault on a family member and domestic battery in the 3rd degree.  The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington St. in Hope, AR. Wesley was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

Jimmie Smith, 65, of Hope, AR

Mr. Smith was arrested and charged with fleeing in a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to BAC, driving on suspended drivers license, and no insurance.

9:45am in the 300 block of S. Washington

Cortavious Rhodes, 21, of Hope, AR

Mr. Rhodes was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
