On July 27, 2021 at approximately 12:00pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Marisha Armstrong, 25, of Blevins, AR and charged her with aggravated assault on a family member. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington St. in Hope, AR. Armstrong was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On July 27, 2021 at approximately 12:19am, officers of Hope Police Department arrested Isaac Vargas, 19, of Hope, AR and Priscila Marrufo, 18, of Hope, AR. Both Vargas and Marrufo were arrested and charged with possession with purpose to deliver marijuana, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and possession of controlled substance near certain facilities. The arrest occurred in the 900 block of South Johnson Street in Hope, AR. Vargas and Marrufo were taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On July 27, 2021 at approximately 2:30pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Christopher Evans, 51, of Hope, AR and charged him with robbery. The arrest occurred in the 500 block of Hempstead 12 in Hope, AR. Evans was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On July 30, 2021 at approximately 9:53am, officers of Hope Police Department and the 8th North Task Force arrested Alonzo McDonald, 37, of Stamps, AR, Schina Willis, 33, of Hope, AR and Lynasia Sims, 23, of Hope, AR. Mr. McDonald was charged with simultaneous of possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain persons, theft by receiving, and possession of controlled substances near certain facilities. Mr. Willis was charged with possession with purpose to deliver methamphetamine, possession of firearms by certain persons, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, theft by receiving, possession of controlled substance cocaine, and possession of controlled substance near certain facilities. Ms. Sims was charged with possession with purpose to deliver methamphetamine, simultaneous possession of drug and firearms, and possession of controlled substance near certain facilities. Mr. McDonald and Ms, Sims was arrested in the 900 block of North Edgewood Street in Hope, AR. Mr. Willis was arrested in the 700 block of South Elm Street in Hope, AR. McDonald, Willis, and Sims were taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On July 30, 2021 at approximately 11:39pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Diamond Martin, 24, of Hope, AR and charged her with domestic battery in the 3rd degree. The arrest occurred in the 900 block of East Dairy St. in Hope, AR. Martin was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On July 30, 2021 at approximately 12:51pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Deeanne Davis, 38, of Texarkana, Texas and charged her with 2 counts of domestic battery in the 2nd degree. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington St. in Hope, AR. Davis was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On August 1, 2021 at approximately 12:40pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Joseph Sauls III, 39, of Hope, AR and charged him with domestic battery in the 2nd degree, fleeing in vehicle, and aggravated assault. The arrest occurred in the 500 block of Caney Creek Drive in Hope, AR. Sauls was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
