ARRESTS:

Tuesday, March 8

Leon Middleton

2:28pm in the 1500 block of E. 3rd

Leon Middleton, 28, of Hope, AR
Mr. Middleton was arrested and charged with assault on family/household member in the 3rd degree, theft of property, and resisting arrest.

On March 8, 2022 at approximately 2:28pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Leon Middleton, 28, of Hope, AR. He was charged with theft of property, and resisting arrest. The arrest occurred in the 1500 block of East 3rd Street in Hope, AR. Middleton was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.


12:19pm in the 100 block of W. 9th

D’Aundre Monk, 25, of Hope, AR

Mr. Monk was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.


Thursday, March 10

11:00pm in the 1300 block of E. 3rd

Gregory Mullins, 54, of Hope, AR

Mr. Mullins was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance marijuana, and driving while intoxicated.


Aaliyah Finley

On March 10, 2022 at approximately 2:15pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Aaliyah Finley, 22, of Texarkana, TX. Ms. Finley was arrested and charged with theft of property.  The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street in Hope, AR. Finley was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.


8:22am in the 400 block of St. George St.

A male juvenile from Hope, AR
The male juvenile was arrested and charged with battery in the 2nd degree.


Saturday, March 12

Nicholas Maxwell

1:00pm in the 400 block of E. Oak

Nicholas Maxwell, 22, of Hope, AR
Mr. Maxwell was arrested and charged with possession with purpose to deliver marijuana, improper use of tags, title, or registration, and served a failure to appear warrant.

On March 12, 2022 at approximately 1:00am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Nicholas Maxwell, 22, of Hope, AR. He was charged with possession with purpose to deliver marijuana, improper use of tags, title or registration, and served a failure to appear warrant. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of East Oak Street in Hope, AR. Maxwell was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.


Thomas Varner

2:48am in the 2500 block of N. Hazel

Thomas Varner, 33, of Hope, AR

Mr. Varner was arrested and charged with possession of instrument of crime, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on family member or house hold, served failure to appear warrant and served foreign warrant service.

On March 12, 2022 at approximately 2:48am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Thomas Varner, 33, of Hope, AR. He was charged aggravated assault on a family or household member, with possession of instrument of crime, resisting arrest, and served a failure to appear warrant and served a foreign warrant. The arrest occurred in the 2500 block of North Hazel Street in Hope, AR. Varner was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
