On Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, at approximately 6:55pm, Officers with the Hope Police  Department arrested Marquishia Johnson, 32 of Hope, AR. Ms. Johnson was arrested in the 900 block of Henry C. Yerger Street and charged with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. Ms. Johnson was taken the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.  

On Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at approximately 2:15pm, Officers with the Hope Police  Department arrested Dakari Harris, 38 of Hope, AR. Mr. Harris was arrested in the 1200 block of  North Hervey Street and charged with Theft of Property. Mr. Harris was taken to the Hempstead  County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance. 

On Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at approximately 4:45pm, Officers with the Hope Police  Department arrested Myquan Sorrells, 20 of Hope, AR. Mr. Sorrells was arrested in the 900 block of West 5th Street and charged with Aggravated Assault (3 counts), Possession of  Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms and Proximity to Certain Facilities. Mr. Sorrells was taken to the Hempstead County Detention  Facility and held for a first court appearance. 

On Friday, July 26th, 2024, at approximately 5:19pm, Officers with the Hope Police Department  arrested Nia Griffin, 29 of Hope, AR. Ms. Griffin was arrested in the 2400 block of North  Hervey Street and charged with two counts of Fraudulent Practices – Controlled Substance. Ms.  Griffin was taken the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.
