Mr. Carter was arrested and charged with domestic battery in the 3rd degree, criminal mischief in the 1st degree, public intoxication, and littering.

Mr. Gulley was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

On May 21, 2020, at approximately 12:30am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested James Bentley, 37, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with terroristic threatening 1st degree and theft of property. The arrest occurred in the 400 block of St. George Street, in Hope.  Bentley was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance. 

On May 23, 2020, at approximately 9:15pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Lamonza Tolliver, 18, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated assault and fleeing on foot. The arrest occurred in the 1200 block of North Greening Street, in Hope. Tolliver was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On May 22, 2020 at approximately 10pm two black males entered the Chicken Express in Hope, Arkansas and demanded money.  Each of the suspects had a firearm.  After being given an undetermined amount of cash, one of the suspects fired his weapon into the ceiling of the business.  Both suspects then fled the business on foot. 

On May 25, 2020, at approximately 9:30pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Braylon Gulley, 20, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated robbery.  The arrest occurred in the 900 block of South Walnut Street, in Hope.  Gulley was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

The incident is still under investigation.
