HPD Singleton graduates from Criminal Justice Institute's CSCTP
A press release issued by the Hope Police Department recognized HPD Detective Casey Singleton for graduating from the Criminal Justice Institute’s Crime Scene Technician Certificate Program. In an interview with SWARK.Today, Singleton explained that while the course was intensive, requiring one week a month for six months, he is proud to have garnered this achievement and credits his family for helping him reach this important career milestone. “The course focused heavily on techniques dealing with various techniques for processing evidence, investigating a crime scene, and much more,” Singleton said. “It’s a big accomplishment that I’m very proud of, and I could only have done this with the amazing support from my family: Lauren, Paislee, Emy, Lakyn, and Mason.”

On Friday, September 12th, 2025, Detective Casey Singleton graduated from the Criminal Justice Institute’s Crime Scene Technician Certificate Program.

The CSTCP is a series of six fundamental courses that introduce vital components of crime scene investigation, including Crime Scene Management/Photography, Crime Scene Sketches, note taking and report writing, Latent Print Processing, Impression Evidence, Biological and Trace Evidence and Crime Scene Investigation.

Det. Singleton is a 17 year veteran of the Hope Police Department, with the past 3 years being in the Criminal Investigation Division.
