IDENTITIES OF SIX KILLED IN CLAY COUNTY ACCIDENT RELEASED
April 30, 2024 CORNING, Ark. – The Arkansas State Crime Lab has identified the six people who died in a two-vehicle accident in Clay County on April 15, 2024. The accident occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of Arkansas State Highway 135 and U.S. Highway 62 near Corning in Clay County and involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The driver of the SUV, Sonter Andon, 37, along with passengers Rekinna Alanso, 65, Santos Andon, 62, Nisdy Inek, 36, Jessica Inek, 34, and a 3-year-old, all of Paragould, were pronounced deceased on the scene by the Clay County Coroner's office.   The driver of the tractor-trailer, Gerayne Poole, 82, of Piggott, was flown to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, where he was treated and released.
