In perfect weather, Jonquil Festival now in full bloom

In perfect weather, Jonquil Festival now in full bloom
A trip up to Historic Washington State Park late Friday morning and a walk around the grounds revealed that the 58th Jonquil Festival may lack some in displays of the titular flower because of a cold snap and storm this past weekend, but in attendance and in things to do, the festival has well exceeded expectations.

The Night Hawk Band was playing country rock and gospel under the pavilion as many sat at picnic tables or on hay bales under a tent listening.  Dozens of vendors and many food tricks had diverse offerings to sample and buy.  The WPA Gym played host to tables where sellers from near and far plied their trades in clothing, woodwork, honey, home decor and much else.

The Jonquil Festival is scheduled to last until 5:00 p.m. Friday and then open up again at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.  Williams Tavern will begin serving breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m and lunch after that.

We have attached a pictorial from today's visit after the schedule shown below.
