Little Rock, AR - April 20, 2024 - Indivisible Little Rock & Central Arkansas is pleased to announce a petition signing event at White Water Tavern on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This event invites the community to participate in direct democracy by signing various ballot initiatives conveniently gathered in one location.
The event aims to streamline the process of supporting important causes by providing a central hub for signing petitions. Volunteers will be on hand to assist and collect signatures for several initiatives, including the Arkansas Abortion Amendment, Educational Rights Amendment, Act to Remove the Sales & Use Tax For Menstrual Products and Diapers, Arkansas Disclosure Act (FOIA), Arkansas Government Disclosure Amendment (FOIA), and Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
"We believe in the power of direct action and engagement in shaping the future of our state," said M.V. Stone, Board Member and Organizer with Indivisible Little Rock & Central Arkansas. "This event offers an opportunity for Arkansans to exercise their democratic rights and support initiatives that matter to them."
The event will take place at White Water Tavern located at 2500 W. 7th Street in Little Rock. For accessibility, the parking lot is gravel. Attendees needing assistance are encouraged to honk and turn on their flashers upon arrival, and volunteers will be available to come to their vehicle with the petitions.
