JA hosts chamber community coffee
The Hope Junior Auxiliary (JA) welcomed guests to the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce this morning as they hosted this week’s Community Coffee. Attendees were greeted with a pleasing display of savory snacks, sweet treats, juices, and coffee, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere as locals gathered to connect and learn more about the organization’s impact.

Throughout the morning, JA members shared highlights from the past year, including the success of their programs and the scholarships they have provided to children across the community. Their efforts continue to support local families through meaningful outreach and service.

Several of JA’s well-known projects were also highlighted, including Glass Slipper, Operation Christmas Cheer, and Sweet Reads, all of which are designed to meet the needs of children and families in Hope and Hempstead County.

Executive Director of the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, Christy Burns, who is also a longtime member of JA, shared her appreciation for the organization. “I just love being a part of a sisterhood that is truly there for our community. It takes a village, and that’s what we strive to provide for the children and people in our city,” Burns said.

The Junior Auxiliary’s motto, “Care today Character tomorrow,” reflects its mission to enhance the lives of children and youth in the community. Members echoed this message during the event, sharing information about upcoming opportunities and continuing to foster connections with those in attendance.

As always, the morning served not only as a chance to enjoy refreshments, but also as a reminder of the strong sense of community and service that organizations like Junior Auxiliary bring to Hope.
