A job fair will be held in Prescott on June 15th from 9am to 2pm at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Potlatch Building. Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, Southwest Planning and Development District, and the Prescott Economic Development Office planned the event for the Holcim dislocated workers but have opened it up to the public for anyone in the area who is looking for employment and a fresh start. All are welcome to attend and talk to employers who will be there.
Any business or industry in southwest Arkansas who like to attend for recruiting purposes may do so, as well. There is no charge and tables and chairs will be provided. As of this publication, nine businesses are slated to be at the job far, but EDO Director Mary Godwin says there is plenty of room for more. She can be contacted at 870.887.6208 or [email protected] for those who would like to participate. This job fair is open to any type of business or worker: retail, customer service, line production, manufacturing, etc. Any and all industries are welcome.
Arkansas Workforce Services and several state agencies will also be there to assist the Holcim dislocated workers with potential training, benefits, or any services to help during this time that they are without a job.
