A visit to the Jonquil Festival on Saturday mid-afternoon was a visual and actual feast, with dozens of good meal options available and even more vendors set up under tents outside or at tables indoors displaying their wares.
Due to some late winter rain and cold, the jonquils weren't as plentiful as last year, but the ones that came up were all the more gorgeous for their rarity.
The festival will continue starting at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, closing at 4:30 p.m. Let the below pictorial offer something of a preview.
On Sunday, the Arkansas Archeological Society dig will take place starting at 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. across from the Block House, the William's Tavern Restaurant will serve its buffet from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the Vintage Dancers take the stage at 3:00 p.m.
