Ashdown- The Hope Jr. Bobcats got their season started with a big road win in Ashdown as they forced a couple of turnovers and Tra Gomer found pay dirt 4 times in the 34-26 victory. Gomer finished the game with 306 yards and 4 TDs and JJ Gulley had 42 yards and found the endzone as well. QB Austin Courtney did a great job running the offense and added 12 yards passing. Defensively Fernando Perez had 2 fumble recoveries and was named Jack Boy of the Game for his defensive play. Tra Gomer also forced a fumble on defense. Coach Collins was proud of how the boys competed and left everything on the field. The Hope Jr. Bobcats travel to Prescott this Thursday. Kickoff is at 5:30.
