In the other semifinal game, Spring Hill Jr. Lady Bears got off to a hot start, as they carried a big lead into halftime, and cruised to a win to advance to the championship game on Thursday against Bradley. LK Tuttle led the Lady Bears in scoring with 14 points. Knightley Porter added 6 points, Jorgia Coffee and Madi Vickers each scored 4 points, Jade Joy and Ella Flowers each had 3 points, Sophie Robb, Chloe Cobb, Lilly Cox, Lola Coffee, and Masie Elmer each had 2 points. The finals between Spring Hill Jr. Girls and Bradley Jr. Girls will tip off at 6PM in Blevins.
On the boys side of the bracket, Kirby Jr. Boys defeated Bradley's Jr. Boys in a very competitive e game by 3 points to advance to the finals. In the other boys game, Nevada topped Blevins to advance to the finals. A lot of good plays were made in this game by both teams, as Nevada pulled away at the end. Jakari Roberson and Colton Burns played very well. After the game Roberson spoke on the win and his guys advancing to the title game, "It feels good to advance, but we gotta keep getting better on defense, we passed the ball well tonight, but have to move our feet more on defense." Coach Eddie Beck ran the show last night for the Jr. Jays, as the Sr. Blue Jays are in action this week in Dierks, after the game Coach Beck spoke on his Jr. Boys debut in Nevada, "Appreciate the opportunity, Coach Bell has them well prepared, anytime you can play for a championship its exciting, we gotta come out ready to play tomorrow night." Nevada and Kirby will tip-off at 5pm.
Big shoutout to Blevins, as once again they are a spectacular host, and they do an excellent job with this tournament.
