Jr. Lady Dragons Win Horatio Tournament
Horatio- The Jr. Lady Dragons had themselves a busy week, winning their season opener against Glen Rose at home on Tuesday 39-11, also picking up another non-conference win in Hope Friday night. They followed those dominant performances up with a 3-0 weekend at Horatio, including winning the championship 58-19 to cap off a great week of hoops. Giving them a 5-0 week to start the year.

Genoa Central jumped out to a 15-0 run to start the championship game, as the Jr. Lady Dragon's defense was great all week. The Lady Dragons would continue to separate themselves Saturday, on their way to a 58-19 win. Asia Hankins led the Lady Dragons in scoring in the finals with 19 points. Piper McMurry poured in 12 points and Presley Rogers added 8 points.

In the Semifinals, Genoa took care of business against the Jr. Lady Rattlers 50-32. They trailed by 1 late, but went on a 19-0 run thanks to some great defensive play. Asia Hankins led the way with 18 points. T Fisk was also in double-figures with 10 points and Piper McMurry added 9.

In the opening round of the tourney, perhaps the toughest game was against Cossatot River and they won 43-37 against a very tough team. Piper McMurry led the way with 18 points, including 13 in the second half. Asia Hankins scored 15 points.

The Jr. Lady Dragons will be back in action on Thursday as they host Caddo Hills.
