Jr. Lady Saints Fall in State Semi-Finals
Norman, OK- The Jr. Lady Saints headed into Oklahoma on Thursday with an opportunity to repeat as state champs. They came in the tourney as the #2 seed, as they have played great all season and earned that great seeding. The Lady Saints fell short on Thursday in the Semifinals as they were just one win away from the Championship.

The Lady Saints beat Immanuel Lutheran in pool play 25-16, 25-18, but fell to Victory Christian 21-25, 25-19, 7-15 in their second pool game. Dropping that second pool game, put them in the same side as the #1 seed Liberty. So the match that everyone had figured for the State Finals, came a round early in the semis.

GMCS beat New Life in the Quarterfinals 25-16, 25-19 to advance to the Semi-Finals to take on Liberty. The game was a close one, but the Lady Saints fell just short. The Jr. Lady Saints played 4 games in about an 8 hour span. Great effort from the Jr. Lady Saints and they left it all on the court.

Abby Mendoza was named to the All-Tournament team for her excellent play on Thursday. Mendoza piled up 17 aces, 4 kills, and 8 digs throughout the tournament. Blayklee Glass racked up 9 kills at the net, 9 aces, and 3 digs. Lexi Crane 7 kills, 11 kills, including 10 against Liberty in the semis, and 6 digs. Gracie Bullock had a great day as she had 15 aces, 4 kills, and 5 digs. Zoe Robertson had 12 aces and 2 kills, as her serves were great on Thursday. Josie Pinner had 4 aces, 1 kill, and 8 digs. Mattie Rogers had 1 ace and Olivia Butler had 2 kills.

Great season for the Jr. Lady Saints and they have a couple of more games this season to finish up their schedule.
