Little Rock- Fresh off of a State title the previous season, the Jr. Lady Saints (1-0) were tested early, as they got to show everyone how resilient they are. After a terrible first set, this squad battled back and won the last two sets 25-16, 15-11 to earn the win. Abby Mendoza served up 7 aces and also had 3 digs and 2 kills. Blayklee Glass was a force around the net as she led the team in kills with 6. Glass also added 4 digs. Gracie Bullock performed well in her GMCS debut, as she served 6 aces and added a kill on the last point of the match to secure the win. Lexi Crane had 2 kills and played great all around the rotation. Olivia Butler had a kill, Josie Pinner had an ace, and Mattie Rogers had 3 digs. Abby Mendoza spoke after the win last night, "It feels really good, happy with the win, thankful and blessed to get the win." The Jr. Saints look to improve to 2-0 tonight as they are back in action on Tuesday night, as they travel to ACA for a match.
