Jr. Lady Saints Top Jr. Lady Jays in 3-Set Battle
Nevada- In a rematch from a week ago, the Lady Saints headed into Nevada for a non-conference matchup with a Lady Jays team that was looking to avenge a loss to GMCS a week ago. This match went the distance, as it took 3 sets to decide the winner, but when the dust settled it was the Lady Saints that took the final set 15-8 to claim the match. Blayklee Glass and Lexi Crane proved to be difference makers at the net as they both ended with 4 kills each. Abby Mendoza and Zoe Robertson each had a team-high 6 aces for GMCS at the service line. Josie Pinner piled up 5 aces for the Saints, Gracie Bullock had 4 aces, and Mattie Rogers added 2 digs. Mendoza, Bullock, and Crane each had 2 digs as well. Zoe had a big kill and Glass added 1 dig to round out the stat sheet for GMCS. This team is still trending upwards as they will begin their quest for back-to-back state titles next Saturday on Oct.5.

For the Jr. Lady Jays, Addie Ridling led the way with 3 aces, Jayde Murry had 2 aces, and Gabby Evans had 1 ace. Gracie Hunt had 1 dig. Nevada is back in action Tuesday as they host Foreman for homecoming.
