Jr. Lady Saints Win 5th Straight Game as They Top Trinity Christian in Straight Sets
Hope- The Jr. Lady Saints continue to trend upward as the State Tournament is next weekend. GMCS brought their current win streak to 5 games on Tuesday night with a straight set win over the Jr. Lady Warriors 25-20 and 27-25. The team showed a lot of grit and determination to come back and get the win in the 2nd set. This team is getting much better at the net, as they are really beginning to grasp the importance of taking advantage of their opportunities to set and kill the ball, and it has definitely paid off as of late. The squad combined for 23 kills on Tuesday, which means that just over 44% of their points came off kills.

Blayklee Glass dominated the net as she racked up a season-high 9 kills on Tuesday night. Glass also added 2 aces and 2 digs as she has been really consistent for GMCS this season. Abby Mendoza played extremely well on Tuesday as she posted 5 aces, 4 kills, and 3 digs. Mendoza is also very skilled at setting and does a great job setting her teammates up. Gracie Bullock showed out on Tuesday as she had a season-high 4 kills at the net and served 7 aces along with 2 digs. Lexi Crane has been very impressive as of late, as she posted 4 kills for the second consecutive game. Crane also added 2 aces and 3 digs. Zoe Robertson had 1 kill and 1 ace. Olivia Butler had 2 big kills for GMCS on Tuesday, along with 1 dig, while Josie Pinner added 2 aces and 3 digs. Mattie Rogers played a good back-row and had 3 digs.

The Jr. Lady Saints are back in action on Thursday as they host Cornerstone. Game begins at 4:30.
