Hope- The Jr. Saints came out and fought and won a big opening set 25-21 as Abby Mendoza ran off a few consecutive aces to finish off a hard-fought 1st set. GMCS would pull away late in the second set to win 25-17. The Jr. Saints came out looking to get back to their winning ways and they did just that. "We had some good hits, we could have done better on communication and passing but we got the job done," Blayklee Glass said after the game as she spoke on the win. Very impressive group of athletes and they understand the importance of getting better each week and always having room for improvement. Abby Mendoza had a team-high 6 aces, along with 2 kills and 2 digs. Abby spoke on the win as well after the game, "I'm happy with the win but we could of done some things better." Blayklee Glass had 2 kills, 2 digs, and had some great sets. Lexi Crane played really well on Friday, especially around the net as she had 2 kills, an ace, and 1 kill. Gracie Bullock had 2 aces and 1 dig, Josie Pinner had 1 ace and 1 dig, and Olivia Butler had 2 kills. Mattie Rogers played very well as she had 3 digs, Zoe Robertson had 1 dig, and Brooklyn Robertson had 1 kill. Great team win and the Jr. Saints are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Emerson.Â
