Local students in Pre-K and First Grade each recieved their very own book from Junior Auxiliary of Hope this week.
Each year, members of Junior Auxiliary read to area students then present each student with a book of their own. This year, they have continued to read to the students virtually, but wanted to make sure that they would still be able to donate the books.
In conjuction with Read Across America Week, which began on Monday, members of Junior Auxiliary began delivering books to Blevins, Head Start, Hope, Garrett and Spring Hill with the hopes of encouraging early literacy in the homes of community members.
