The Junior Auxiliary of Hope recently released their 2023/2024 Scholarship Applications available to all high school seniors.  The Junior Auxiliary of Hope is a non-profit organization whose members are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Hempstead County are children and their families.  

Recognizing education is a means of improving the quality of life; we are awarding scholarships to qualified students from the schools in the Hempstead County area.  These scholarships will be given directly to the student’s school of choice to assist in pursuing educational goals past high school.

Scholarships are awarded based on the applications qualifications. As a service organization, we pay special attention to community service efforts.  Students who have demonstrated active involvement in community service efforts through school, church and other service-oriented events are ideal applicants.  In addition to service efforts, a committee of Junior Auxiliary members will additionally review applications and points are assigned based on academic achievement, with sensitivity to need.

Applications submitted online MUST be accompanied with the following information below and mailed separately.  Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2023, late applications will not be considered.

Applications MUST include the following:

• Certified copy of high school transcript (9th-12th grades) including ACT and/or SAT scores

• Two (2) letters of recommendations: one written by a teacher/administrator and one written by a non-related individual who has knowledge of the applicant’s character, abilities, motivation, background, etc. (please limit all reference letters to one page)
