FAYETTEVILLE - Graduate forward Kate Doyle extended her scoring streak to four matches in No. 9 Arkansas' (3-0-1) 4-0 win against Gonzaga, her former team.
Doyle scored one goal in each of the Hogs' first three matches before recording her second career brace. She sits atop the SEC leaderboard in goals (5) and leads the Razorbacks in goals and points (11).
How it Happened
Doyle got Arkansas on the board nearly 20 minutes into the match after a pair of shots from forwards Bella Field and Zoe Susi were saved. Doyle found the ball amidst four Gonzaga defenders and managed to find the back of the net for her first game-winning goal as a Razorback.
Doyle netted her second goal in the 37th minute to become the third Hog to score two goals in a half this season. This time, she headed a ball in from her fellow Gonzaga transfer Kelsey Oyler to extend Arkansas' lead to 2-0.
Oyler recorded her second assist, her second multi-assist match this season, five minutes later. Her free kick found the head of freshman forward Anaiyah Robinson at the top of the six-yard box for Robinson's first collegiate goal.
The Hogs' last goal came in the 56th minute via a corner kick from defender Avery Wren. Wren's ball took a few bounces around the box before finding the head of midfielder Makenzie Malham for her first goal in 673 days.
The Zags (1-2-1) threatened with two shots on goal but Arkansas goalkeeper Keegan Smith managed and picked up her first career solo shutout.
Arkansas finished the match ahead in shots 25-8 (16-2 on target) and corner kicks 6-1.
