FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson is the latest Razorback to enter the transfer portal.
Jefferson, who owns six records at Arkansas, is a redshirt senior and will have one year of eligibility at a new school. At Arkansas, Jefferson completed 626-of-962 passes for 7,923 yards, 67 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also rushed 523 times for 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns.
His 2023 season came with high expectations that neither Jefferson nor the team reached. As Arkansas fell to 4-8, Jefferson also struggled. He completed 190-of-296 passes for 2,107 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Jefferson rushed 161 times for 447 yards and two touchdowns.
Jefferson was the MVP of both the Outback Bowl win over Penn State and AutoZone Liberty Bowl win against Kansas.
Arkansas has former Morrilton standout Jacolby Criswell returning at quarterback. Criswell played the majority of the final game against Missouri.
Jefferson joins defensive back Jaylen Lewis, wide receiver Sam Mbake, linebacker Chris "Pooh" Paul and linebacker Jordan Crook.
