Guests at the Klipsch Heritage Museum headquarters survey the 1920s Christmas tree.

At the Klipsch Heritage Museum Association headquarters on the corner of Pine and Division streets in Hope, Executive Director Beckie Moore and Curator Jim Hunter opened the building to visitors yesterday evening to show off new holiday décor in its rooms.

Cookies, apple cider and hot chocolate was provided to anyone who wished to survey the building’s listening rooms, which includes a room set in the style of the 1920s, the 1970s, and the 1950s. In each room, the furniture and the Klipsch speakers correspond to their respective decades. But in addition, starting this week, each room’s holiday décor is also, as they say in Hollywood, period accurate.

This was especially true of the Christmas tree decorations in each room, which have ornaments made by local school children depicting toys and objects popular during the distinct eras.
