Lady Bears Beat Gurdon 62-29 on Saturday Night
Dierks- Spring Hill (2-2) used a big offensive first quarter to get an early lead, as the Lady Bears scored 24 points in the opening quarter, and some good defensive pressure in the second half to cruise to a 33-point win. After the game, Lady Bear Ava McBrayer spoke on the Lady Bears win, "I don't like on offense or our defense, we have a lot to improve on, but I'm proud of the hard-fought win." McBrayer finished the night with 13 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks as she is very active on both ends of the floor night in and night out for the Lady Bears.

Kenzie Thompson tie McBrayer for the team lead with 13 points. Thompson also pulled down 4 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists. Layla Cantwell scored 10 points and had six rebounds, while doing a really good job handling the ball for Spring Hill. Livi Tyree filled up the stat sheet on Saturday as she scored 8 points, had 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, as well as 3 steals on the defensive end of the floor. Darby Coffee had 5 points and brought down 7 rebounds, six of which were offensive rebounds, as she has played very well around the basket this season so far. Anna Flowers and Laney Flowers each had 3 points, while Andrea Zacarias and Keira Cantwell each scored 2. Zoey Varner added 1 free throw.

The Lady Bears are back in action on Tuesday as they host Lafayette Co in a non-conference game. Jr. Lady Bears tip-off at 1.
