Lady Bears Begin Season with 69-19 Win Over Umpire
Umpire- The Lady Bears (1-0) jumped out to an early 21-2 lead in the opening quarter Tuesday night against the Lady Wildcats and extended that lead to 41-11 at the break. The game was then on cruise control, as they outscored Umpire 28-8 in the second half to win the game 69-19. The Lady Bears shot at a very high clip on Tuesday night, shooting over 46% on 2pt FG. The very aggressive defense of the Lady Bears forced over 40 turnovers that led to a lot of buckets in transition. Free throws will definitely be a focus for Spring Hill this week, as they weren't their normal selves at the charity stripe, but they will for sure clean that part up. Great defensive game and the rebounding was outstanding, as they out-rebounded the Lady Wildcats 49-35.

Three Lady Bears scored in double figures with Kenzie Thompson leading the way with 19 points. Ava McBrayer and Livi Tyree each poured in 10 points. Darby Coffee scored 9 points, with Kiera Cantwell scoring 5, and Layla Cantwell and Zoey Varner each scoring 4. Alyssa Porter and Anna Flowers scored 3 each, with Laney Flowers and Mazie Calhound each hitting a free throw.

The Lady Bears are back in action for their home-opener on Thursday night as they host Glen Rose.
