Lady Bears Drop Tough Game to Ashdown

Spring Hill-  The Lady Bears played host to the visiting Panthers from Ashdown Tuesday night, dropping the game 9-5. The Lady Bears struck first for 2 runs in the 1st inning as Cami Porter knocked in 2 runs with a double. Spring Hill extended the lead to 4-0 going into the 4th inning, but Ashdown answered with 4 runs of their own in the top of the 4th. The game was tied at 5 headed into the final inning, where ashdown managed to bring across 4 runs in the top of the inning to bring the score to 9-5. Erin McMaster led the way at the plate with a double and a single, she also struck out 6 Panthers in 7 innings of work. Porter, Livi Tyree, and Ava McBrayer each recorded a double each for the Lady Bears. Camryn Dixon and Kelsie Thompson added a single each. The Lady Bears are scheduled to be back in action Thursday at home against Hope. The Lady Bears are also competing in the Ashdown tournament this weekend as well.
