The Lady Bears would face the Hope Lady Cats the second day of the tourney, as they would run away late with a 62-42 victory. Blakelee Adams torched the nets for 21 points as she continues to be a problem for opposing teams. Livi Tyree and Kenzie Thompson each scored in double-figures as Tyree had 12 and Thompson with 10. Layla Cantwell had 8 points and Ava Purifoy (6) and Ava McBrayer (5) rounded out the Lady Bears scoring totals. Great defense led to some easy buckets in the open court to help put the game away for the Lady Bears.
On Saturday, the Lady Bears matched up with the Lady Hornets from Blevins. Spring Hill would top Blevins 59-52 in a physical and hard-fought contest, with Kenzie Thompson scoring 14 points to lead the offense for Spring Hill. Ava McBrayer played a great game as she scored 12 points and grabbed a lot of big rebounds. Ava Purifoy shot very well from beyond the arc, as she knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points. Livi Tyree would score 11 points as well as she had her mid-range shot working well on Saturday. Spring Hill had four players reach double-figures. Layla Cantwell had 6 points and Anna Flowers had 5 points.
The Lady Bears are back in action on Thursday night as they host Fordyce in a non-conference matchup.
