In a game that was tied up 29-29 at the half the Lady Bears defense picked it up and held Emerson to only five points in the third quarter to take a 39-34 lead into the final quarter. 

Great defensive plays would lead to a few fastbreak baskets for Spring Hill as they would pull out a hard-fought win. Blakelee Adams would pace the Lady Bears on offense as she scorched the net for 18 points, including some very big buckets late in the game. 

Recently named SWARK.Today player of the week Kenzie Thompson had yet another great performance as she would score 15 points and grab a lot of big rebounds. Ava McBrayer had 10 points for the Lady Bears. She also was great defensively including taking a big charge late in the game. Ava Purifoy lived in the passing lanes of the Lady Pirates players all game as she forced many turnovers on defense. 

The Lady Bears are back in action on Thursday as they travel to Ouachita.
