Lady Cats Beat Malvern 3-2
Malvern- The Lady Cats hit the road to Malvern for a big time conference matchup against Malvern this past Thursday. After 16 days off from playing due to a rainout and Spring Break, Hope picked up where they left off and earned their second conference road-win of the young season with a 3-2 victory of the Lady Leopards. Miracle Martinez got the scoring going just before the half, as she found the back of the net off of a nice pass from Madelyne Maclaughlin. Early in the second half, Miracle Martinez assisted on Madelyne Maclaughlin's first goal of the night give the Lady Cats their second goal of the game. With just five minutes remaining, Madelyne found the back of the net on a nice goal for her second score of the game on a beautiful pass from Cristal Aguilar. Maclaughlin's last goal would prove to be the game winner as Hope improved to 2-2 in conference and is right in the thick of the conference standings. Great all around team effort in the Lady Cats victory, as the defense played great, as Esme Leon and Cristal Aguilar played excellent. Miracle played a great all-around game, and Paola Dominguez, Audrey Mercado, and Brianna Maclaughlin did a great job as well on Thursday. GK Angelica Soto continues to impress as she is proving to be one of the top goal-keepers in the conference.

Hope is set to host DeQueen on Tuesday in a big time conference matchup.

Bauxite girls are sitting in first place with a 4-0-1 record, Nashville is in 2nd at 4-1, DeQueen is 3rd with a 3-2 record, Mena is 4th at 2-2-1, and Hope is in 5th at 2-2. Malvern, Arkadelphia, and Morrilton all follow behind Hope.
