Bauxite- Defense was the name of the game all evening as the Lady Cat's defense never wavered and they posted a shutout against Nashville. As Coach Marshall said, "The defense played great." At the end of the first overtime, Hope nearly won it on a great move and pass from Mariana Turcios to Brianna Maclaughlin but the Nashville goalie made an excellent play and denied the Lady Cats last-second goal in OT. Nashville made a PK try, thenJasmin Rodriguez made her PK attempt to even things up. Angelica Soto made a great save to give Saniyah Walker a chance to end the game and send Hope to the Semis. Walker found the top-right corner of the net to give the Lady Cats the win and send them to the next round! This team has played with a lot of heart and grit all year long and they have found ways to win games whenever they needed too. With the win the Hope Lady Cat Soccer Team earns a spot in the State Tournament. Next up for the Lady Cats is Bauxite on May 4th at 6PM. Winner advances to the Conference Tournament Championship.
