Hot Springs- The Lady Cat and Bobcats Cross Country teams competed and fared very well at the State Meet on Thursday, with both teams finishing top-10. The Lady Cats finished in 10th place out of 22 teams and beat every team in their conference. Madelyne Maclaughlin was the top runner, placing 22nd place out of 192 runners. Crystal Ortiz finished in 44th place, Brianna Maclaughlin was 50th place, followed by Valeria Castillo in 87th, and Allison Yhoss in 94th.
For the Bobcats, they finished the year 9th overall in the state, out of 27 teams. Led by Bradley Brown in 51st place, Kevin Lozana in 52nd, Gio Ruiz in 59th, Jose Juanes in 63rd, and Omar Cardona in 79th out of 238 runners.
Great season by the Hope XC teams, as they finished higher than last season in the team standings.
