Hope- The Lady Cats found themselves down early on in this one against the visiting Lady Leopards, but they turned up the defense in the third quarter to eliminate a 10-point deficit and took the lead in the fourth quarter. The Lady Cats forced 38 turnovers and had 21 steals as they made Malvern really umcomfortable in the second half. Hope just had a hard time getting buckets late in the game and Malvern used their size advantage to get a few baskets late to hand the Lady Cats a 50-42 loss. The free throw line was a big part of the Lady Cats offense on Friday as they knocked down 27 free throws, once they get their 2-pt and 3-pt shots to start falling the offense will become just as dangerous as their defense. Khalaya Randle led the way with 20 points for the Lady Cats, Randle also grabbed 11 rebounds to post a double-double. Alexis McDuffy scored 15 points, McDuffy also had 6 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Bethany White added 6 points and 4 boards, while Tanasia Young had 6 rebounds and added 1 point. The Lady Cats are back in action on Tuesday night as they host DeQueen in a conference matchup.
