Malvern- The Hope Lady Cats hit the road on Tuesday night to Malvern for a conference matchup with the Lady Leopards. Hope put themselves in a hole early last night as they fell behind by 8 after the opening quarter and trailed by 17 at the half. Malvern would go on to win the game 52-21.
The Bobcats defense did do an excellent job holding the Lady Leopards to just 33% shooting from the field. The Lady Cats normally dominate their opponents in free throw attempts/makes, but last night that category was even and the Lady Cats had a difficult time making up for it.
Alexis McDuffy led the way for Hope with 11 points, she also added 4 rebounds. Khalaya Randle added 6 points, Chaniya Williams added a 3-pointer for the Lady Cats, and Samiya Monk knocked down a free throw.
Hope will travel to Nashville this evening to take on the state-ranked Lady Scrappers.
