The Lady Cats struck first when senior Miracle Martinez found the back of the net with an impressive goal. The Lady Wolves would then take advantage of some defensive mishaps by the Lady Cats and score consecutive goals in about three minutes to take the lead. Madelyne Maclaughlin would even the game back up before the half, as she fought through a couple of defenders to score her first goal of the year. Just before the half, the Lady Wolves struck again and took a 3-2 lead into the break.
The defense for the Lady Cats would play great in the second half, led by Brency Cabriales and Christina Aguilar, and some excellent goal-keeping from Angelica Soto. But the Lady Wolves would tack on a goal in the second half as the Lady Cats would fall 4-2 in their season opener. The Lady Cats are back in action on Friday night as they welcome Warren for the Hope home opener.
