Lady Cats Tie Lady Badgers 1-1
Hope- The Hope Lady Cats soccer squad hosted the Lady Badgers from Arkadelphia on Friday night in a conference matchup. The Lady Cats committed a foul in the penalty area and Arkadelphia was awarded a penalty kick as the result. GK Angelica Soto, who stopped 2 PK's earlier this week, was very close to stopping another, but the ball was just out of reach as the Lady Badgers took a 1-0 lead. Not too long after the Arkadelphia goal, Yudit Dominguez delivered a brilliant pass to Miracle Martinez who found the back of the net for the equalizer, and the Lady Cats tied the game 1-1. The second half would start and finish with the score 1-1, as neither team could break through and score in the 2nd half. Angelica Soto and the defense did a great job on Friday night, limiting the opportunities for Arkadelphia. Minus the penalty, the Lady Badgers were locked down by the stingy Hope defense. Brency Cabriales, Yudit Dominguez, Cristal Aguilar, Esme Leon, Angelina Soto, Jacqueline Reyna, and Reyna Martinez all defended well. The attack of Miracle, Brianna and Madelyne Maclaughlin, Audrey Mercado, Crystal Ortiz, and Paola Dominguez created a few good looks, but just could not convert late in the game. 

The Lady Cats are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Mena.
